With the turn of the year, the management at Graz Airport also changes. Gerhard Widmann, long-time director of the Styrian airport, will retire. His successor is Wolfgang Grimus, who most recently worked for Qatar Airways.
Graz Airport will continue to be run by two managers, because Jürgen Löschnig will continue to act as co-managing director. Widmann, who was director of the airport for many years, will retire at the end of the year. The manager is involved in sport on a voluntary basis and is, for example, president of ASKÖ Styria.
Grimus is 55 years old and has previously worked for Austrian Airlines, Air Berlin and Qatar Airways, among others. He is currently the Vice President Network Management in Doha. The Austrian will start his new job at Graz Airport on January 1st, 2021.
