Hardly any airline is currently looking for pilots. The Maltese Ryanair subsidiary Lauda Europe is completely different: It is currently advertising vacancies for Airbus A320 co-pilots who have at least 800 hours of flight experience on these models.
The job advertisement published on the Ryanair website does not say where the first officers are supposed to work. Lauda Europe currently has bases in Vienna and Palma de Mallorca. Those that were operated by the predecessor Laudamotion in Düsseldorf and Stuttgart, the group closed in autumn 2020.
The Laudamotion should have opened a base in Zadar in the 2020 summer flight schedule. This plan has been postponed for the time being due to the corona pandemic. David O'Brien, managing director of Laudamotion, Lauda Europe and Ryanair and board member of Ryanair, told Aviation Direct that the plans have been postponed to the summer flight schedule of 2021. Accordingly, it is to be expected that Lauda Europe could fly with an Airbus A320 from Zadar on behalf of Ryanair. However, there are numerous other locations that are currently under discussion.
Lauda Europe is currently not looking for pilots or first officers without a TR. The job posting shows that you collect expressions of interest and then contact you if there is a need at some point.
