The investment company Indigo Partners delighted the European aircraft manufacturer Airbus with a large order for 255 aircraft from the A321neo series. Of these, 27 A321XLR and 75 A321neo will go to Wizz Air.

Indigo Partners and Airbus announced the major order at the Dubai Air Show. All machines are shared among the holdings of the Arizona-based investment company. As mentioned at the beginning, Wizz Air will receive 102 aircraft. 91 A321neo will go to Frontier, 39 A321neo to Volaris and Jetsmart will get 21 A321neo and two A321XLR.

In addition, 38 existing A320neo orders from Volaris and Jetsmart will be converted into the larger A321neo. “This order confirms the commitment of our portfolio airlines to continuous growth over the next ten years. The Airbus A321neo and A321XLR have industry-leading efficiency, low unit costs and a significantly reduced carbon footprint compared to previous models. With these aircraft, Wizz, Frontier, Volaris and Jet Smart will continue to offer low fares, revitalize the markets they serve and improve their industry-leading sustainability profile, ”said Bill Franke, Managing Partner of Indigo Partners.
