The Ryanair Group carried around 4,4 million passengers in the comeback month of July. Lauda's transport services are no longer reported separately by the listed holding company, as the Austrian subsidiary no longer flies under its own flight numbers, but for its sister Ryanair DAC.

In July of the previous year, the group of companies flew 14,8 million travelers. That means that there was a decrease of 70 percent. This is due to the effects of the corona pandemic. Ryanair explains that in July 2020 they carried out around 40 percent of the originally planned flight schedule and that the load factor was 72 percent.

The consequences of the pandemic are also clearly noticeable throughout 2020 as a whole, as the low-cost airline recorded a decrease of 35 percent in the first seven months. Around 96,8 million passengers were carried.
