Coming from other EU countries, Lithuania again allows all persons to enter the country without further proof and quarantine. No vaccination, recovery or test certificate is required. The 3G rule has also been largely abolished within the country.

Only coming from so-called third countries does the Baltic state still maintain some restrictions. If you travel to Lithuania from Austria or Germany, for example, you can enter again without any “corona documents” and quarantine. This regulation also applies to countries that do not belong to the European Union but are EEA members.

It is currently planned that people coming from third countries still have to comply with quarantine rules. These are to be replaced by the 1G certificate by April 2022, 3 at the latest. Lithuania expects an additional boost for tourism from the largely normalized entry regulations. In the past, due to the corona pandemic, the borders were repeatedly closed and time and again only our own citizens and people with a place of residence and/or a residence permit were allowed to enter the country.
