Contrary to the current trend of tightening the reins on entry regulations due to the new CoV variant, Malaysia and Singapore facilitate access to the respective country.
Singapore and Malaysia have eased travel restrictions on their common land border after almost two years. As of today, vaccinated citizens of both countries are allowed to cross the border again without having to be quarantined afterwards. The border between the two states is considered to be one of the busiest over land in the world. Air traffic restrictions have also been relaxed. Initially, around 3.000 people can travel daily with special buses and have to prove a CoV test. When the borders closed in March 2020, many Malaysians stayed in Singapore to continue doing their jobs.
