Air Dolomiti has been planning to establish a non-stop connection between Forli, Italy and Munich for some time. So far, this has not happened because the admission originally announced on December 1, 2020 has been repeatedly postponed.

The Lufthansa subsidiary will not comply with May 3, 2021 either, reports local media. Air Dolomiti confirmed to Aviation Direct that June 2, 2021 is the target. The route is to be served by Embraer regional jets stationed in Munich. The carrier's fleet currently consists of 15 Embraer 195s.

Even at the time of “Lufthansa Regional”, Air Dolomiti was the only operator that operated under its own brand. This has not changed so far, because in contrast to Cityline, the Italian subsidiary continues to fly under its own flight numbers and in its own livery. In addition, connections from Munich are also operated on behalf of the Group's parent company Lufthansa.
