The lessor Nordic Aviation Capital has up to ten Embraer E190/E195 aircraft converted into cargo aircraft. The work is to be carried out by the Brazilian manufacturer.
The first conversion cargo aircraft are to be handed over to Nordic Aviation Capital from 2024. All aircraft are from Lessor's existing portfolio. “It's great to work with NAC who have always been a strong supporter of Embraer and regional aviation. Having recently launched the E190F and E195F, today's announcement with NAC is a strong indicator of the demand we are seeing for our E-Jet cargo conversions,” said Johann Bordais, President and CEO of Embraer Commercial Aviation .
Currently, Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras is the sole operator of Embraer 195 freighters. The company presented the first converted machine in February 2022. This also marked the Brazilian aircraft manufacturer's entry into the E-Series-based cargo aircraft business.
