On Tuesday, shortly after 12:00 p.m., an Airbus A320neo operated by the Turkish airline Pegasus crashed at Basel-Mulhouse Airport. According to initial information, a malfunction occurred on the TC-NBH's nose gear.
No personal injury occurred in the incident. However, the tires on the nose landing gear have burst. Due to the traces of abrasion visible in the photos, there is a first assumption that this could have blocked. The local authorities are now investigating the cause of the incident and the Airbus A320neo.
The TC-NBH was on the way from Istanbul-Sabiha Gökçen to Basel-Mulhouse. Apart from the landing, flight PC939 is said to have passed without any problems. Pegasus sent the TC-NBN as a replacement machine to pick up the passengers who were booked from Basel-Mulhouse to Istanbul-SAW. Due to the incident, the runway was temporarily closed. Pegasus did not comment on the matter.
