At the end of the year, the mineral oil company is retiring Shell back from Klagenfurt Airport. From September 1, 2022, kerosene and the like will be available from OMV. The Kärntner Flughafen Betriebs GesmbH takes over the tank farm and becomes a supplier of aviation fuel for the local aircraft.

"It is important to us to offer the highest service quality in the area of fuelling," explains Airport Managing Director Nils Witt. "With OMV we have found a renowned and reliable partner who has international experience in this field of aviation!" OMV emerged successfully from the tender. "We are very pleased to be able to supply Klagenfurt Airport with our products in the future and to be able to ensure the satisfaction of our customers at another location in Austria," says Axel Römmer, Head of the Aviation Division at OMV.

From January 1, 1, OMV will reliably ensure the availability of jet fuel (JET A2023). In the future, aviation fuel (AVGAS) will be offered by the Carinthian Airport Operations Company (KFBG). This guarantees the possibility of refueling for the local AVGAS aircraft.
