The Russian airline Rossiya has put the first three Boeing 747-400 back into active scheduled service. The jumbo jets are currently used primarily within the Russian Federation.

Three Boeing 747-400s operated between Moscow Sheremetyevo and Sochi last week. Rossiya is the only operator of this type of machine in Russia. The jumbo jets used were previously in use at Transero. In the course of bankruptcy, these aircraft switched to Rossiya.

The sub-fleet consists of a total of nine units. First, RA-73289, owned by VTB-Leasing, was reactivated. Two more Boeing 747-400s have already been taken out of storage and used on domestic routes. These fly primarily between Moscow and Sochi, where Rossiya has set up an SSJ-100 mini-hub.
