Unsurprisingly, the low-cost airline Wizz Air is postponing all flights to / from St. Petersburg. The flights from Salzburg and Bratislava are also affected. These should have been served from mid-December 2020. The admission of Kyiv Shulyany has also been postponed again.

The new date for reactivation or new routes to / from St. Petersburg is now February 2021. Whether this time is tenable or has to be postponed again depends primarily on the further progress of the corona pandemic. Russia started mass vaccination a few days ago. The “Sputnik V”, which is controversial in the West, is used. The flights from Salzburg to the capital of Ukraine have also been postponed to January 16, 2021.

There is another delay at Wizz Air in Italy. A new base should have opened in Bari on December 17, 2020. This will now only be put into operation at the beginning of the summer timetable period 2021. The Hungarian low-cost airline plans to station a medium-haul jet of the type Airbus A321.
