The tour operator is investing in the Traveltech provider, which develops solutions for capacity management and price control.
According to its own information, Airxelerate offers a cloud-based distribution platform for the airline market, which enables a direct connection to tourism partners and B2B customers. In this way, airlines could place exclusive contingents and dynamic availabilities in the market. Intelligent and flexible software solutions are a key to successfully setting up capacity management and price control, says Markus Förster, Head of Flight Purchasing at Schauinsland. The investment in Airxelerate contributes to this. Airxelerate was founded in Berlin in 2018. In addition to developing its own Calisto product line, the company develops IT solutions for tourism companies on behalf of customers.
