At Singapore Airlines there was a premiere on Tuesday, because the company carried out the first Boeing 737 Max flight in the company's history. The 9V-MBC was used on the Singapore-Phuket-Singapore route.
This is the first rotation on the Singapore Airlines AOC. Previously, the now defunct subsidiary Silk Air had this model in operation, but the six copies that had already been taken over had to be parked for a long period of time due to the worldwide flight ban.
Since Silk Air was merged into Singapore Airlines, the Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft are now on the AOC of the mainline. Thus, the first official SIA Max flight was carried out on Tuesday. The 9V-MBC flew both in the morning and in the evening (local time) from Singapore to Phuket and back again.
