Spain will open its borders not on July 1, but on June 21, 2020. This does not apply to Portugal.

Spain will not open the borders to all EU countries on July 1st, but on June 21st, 2020. This is now also putting the Austrian federal government under pressure, because it justified the quarantine obligation and the flight ban with the fact that Spain would not open until July 1, 2020.

According to the current state of information, it is so that from June 21, 2020 it is possible to enter Spain quarantine-free, but until at least July 1, 2020 when returning to Austria a 14-day quarantine or a negative corona test is required. Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez announced on Sunday that the Spanish borders will be opened to all EU countries, with the exception of Portugal. With the neighboring state, the border controls will be lifted bilaterally from July 1, 2020.
