Next week the Carinthian state parliament will deal with the cause of Klagenfurt Airport. The FPÖ has requested a special session, but has not yet requested a committee of inquiry. Opinions within the state government regarding the call option on the Lilihill shares in the airport differ widely.

The supervisory board of the Kärntner Beteiligungsverwaltung has decided that you want to buy back. However, this still requires a decision by the state government and the state parliament. The meeting was also marked by the fact that the SPÖ and FPÖ nominated supervisory board members before the vote demonstratively left the room.

Lilihill does not want to simply have Klagenfurt Airport taken away from her, but has already announced that she will exhaust every conceivable legal remedy and also Claims for damages in the amount of 100 million euros will claim. The political chaos around Klagenfurt Airport has started many years ago and should actually come to an end with privatization. Nonetheless, politicians continue to get involved.

While the ÖVP, led by Provincial Councilor Martin Gruber, is in favor of pulling the call option, the SPÖ, which is the provincial governor, is strictly against it. Gruber wants to bring the buyback issue to the coalition committee next week. In the course of the special session of the state parliament of Governor Peter Kaiser (SPÖ) and Martin Gruber, the FPÖ wants to know, among other things, what legal and financial consequences the country faces if the call option is pulled and what future plans there are.
