Summer 2022: Israir and Flynas want to fly to Salzburg again

The airlines Israir and Flynas are planning to fly to Salzburg Airport in Austria in summer 2022. Subject to the further development of the travel regulations, the Israeli carrier plans to fly twice a week from Tel Aviv to the city of Mozart between the end of May and the end of October 2022.

The flights are to be carried out both with Airbus A320 in-house and with Boeing 737-800 from Smartwings, which fly under a wet lease contract for Israir. The exact resumption of the Tel Aviv-Salzburg route depends primarily on the further development of Israel's entry and quarantine regulations.

From the beginning of May 2022, Flynas will again fly from Riyadh to Salzburg three times a week. This route is limited to the season until October 28, 2022. The low-cost airline is also planning to fly four times a week from Jeddah to Mozart's city from the beginning of June 2022. This route has been announced repeatedly in recent years, but has been postponed several times due to the corona pandemic.

Flynas confirmed to Aviation.Direct that they will fly to Salzburg from both Riyadh and Jeddah in the 2022 summer flight schedule. As is currently common in the industry, the actual implementation will again depend on the further development of the corona pandemic.
