Skyteam member Delta Air Lines is further expanding its presence at Munich Airport in the 2024 summer flight schedule. The carrier will offer a non-stop connection to New York-JFK from April 11, 2024.

This will initially be served three times a week. Delta currently offers non-stop flights to Atlanta and Detroit from Munich. “The expansion of our route network, which will soon take passengers non-stop from Munich to three destinations in the USA, is a significant step for us. By expanding the network in southern Germany, we are responding to the high demand,” emphasizes Matteo Curcio, Senior Vice President for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India at Delta. “The connection from Munich to New York, the financial capital of the United States, will not only promote trade and tourism between the two cities, but also provide expanded travel options in non-stop convenience and connecting connections to approximately 70 destinations across the Americas.”

The JFK route will generally be served by the Boeing 767-400, which has 238 seats. The travel classes Delta One, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+ and the Main Cabin are available on board. Drinks and snacks are included in the flight price. Depending on the class, (chargeable) wireless LAN is also available.

Jost Lammers, CEO of Flughafen München GmbH (FMG) on the new route: “We are very pleased that our loyal customer Delta Airlines now wants to start the third connection from Munich across the Atlantic to New York City after Atlanta and Detroit. For the 2024 summer flight schedule, Delta will not only offer its guests a new non-stop flight to the Big Apple from Munich, but will also complement our diverse American offering with very good connecting connections.”

Delta currently expects to offer up to 46 weekly routes between the United States of America during peak season next year. From Munich you then have the destinations Atlanta, Detroit and now New York-JFK in your portfolio. These are also offered daily from Frankfurt am Main. Delta also flies four times weekly from Stuttgart to Atlanta and seasonally daily from Berlin to New York-JFK.
