The airline Swiss intends to end short-time work for ground staff and cabin crew at the beginning of March. As a result, employees will earn normal wages again.
The Swiss Lufthansa subsidiary is currently expecting strong demand in the 2022 summer flight schedule. This also led to employees who had been separated for operational reasons during the course of the corona pandemic being offered to be reinstated. At the same time, however, the first flight attendants who have not been vaccinated have already been informed that their employment has ended.
With regard to the end of short-time work, Swiss announced that they wanted to offer employees prospects. In addition, reference is made to in-house training and further education opportunities. The pilots have not yet made a decision regarding the termination or continuation of short-time work. According to its own information, negotiations are being held with the responsible employee representatives.
