DER Touristik chartered Smartwings for Canary Islands flights

On behalf of DER Touristik, the Czech airline Smartwings will take off from eight German airports in the direction of Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura in autumn 2021. According to the company's own information, the offer will be expanded by 3.000 seats.

DER Touristik expects strong demand during the autumn holidays. That's why you charter additional capacities at Smartwings. The machines will be used from Hamburg, Hanover, Bremen, Leipzig, Dresden, Nuremberg, Munich and Stuttgart. Mainly the flights are to be sold as part of package tours, but pure ticket bookings are also possible via Dertour, IST and Jahn Reisen.

DER Touristik has not announced whether Smartwings will use Boeing 737-800 or 737-Max-8 machines. The Czech airline also has branches in Poland, Hungary and Slovakia. The subsidiary CSA is in bankruptcy proceedings.
