The 8th Travel Trade Athens brings the tourism market back to Athens and invites buyers and suppliers to meet again in person during the annual event on May 9-10, 2022.

Travel Trade Athens is one of the premier B2B marketing events in the city of Athens, aiming to promote the city's transformation into a leading tourism and convention destination. Leisure and MICE buyers from the city's core markets in Europe, Great Britain and the USA as well as participants for the international press are represented at the fair. This is reported by the Swiss travel portal About Travel. The event is organized by the Athens Development and Destination Management Agency (ADDMA) through the 'This is Athens' Convention & Visitors Bureau in partnership with the European Tour Operators Association (ETOA).

“Athens is well on the way to a boom in global tourism. Now is the time for travel professionals to meet in person. Tourism plays an important role in Athens' sustainable development and the city has already made major investments. We have started important collaborations with international organizations such as the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) and the International Association of Professional Congress Organizers (IAPCO),” says Vagelis Vlachos, CEO of ADDMA.
