In times like these, the international travel rules differ greatly from one another. In an emergency, specific features are important.

Conventional travel documents such as passports or visas tend to take a back seat when planning a trip these days. Because before starting a trip to a certain country, the question arises for every traveler: Which CoV proof do I have to show when entering the country? Above all, third countries are going on the offensive and are tightening the rules significantly.

The Republic Kosovo joins states that make full vaccination a condition of entry. From January 3, 2022, a complete proof of vaccination must be presented when entering the country; any evidence of recovery or test will no longer be accepted. Kosovar citizens or people with a valid residence permit are privileged to be vaccinated at the border - otherwise these groups of people will also be refused entry. A transitional regulation applies until the said day, according to which a negative PCR test, which is a maximum of 2 hours old, in connection with proof of the first vaccination, is sufficient until January 48nd (or recovery!), informs that Kosovar Foreign Ministry.

Entry to Northern Macedonia is first of all linked to common requirements. The submission of a vaccination certificate (full immunization) and a medical certificate for a negative PCR SARS-CoV-2 test (not older than 72 hours before arrival) or a negative antigen test (not older than 48 hours before arrival) entitles you to enter the country. For those who have recovered, however, a tougher track is being pursued. Because a proof of recovery must not be older than 45 days.

Who about after Montenegro wants to enter, you should think about how long ago it was since the last stab to be on the safe side. Because the country on the Adriatic coast only accepts Covid-19 vaccinations that were not more than six months ago. In Germany, on the other hand, full immunization serves as an “entry ticket” into the country for a full nine months. The situation is similar with the second G - those who have recovered - a record of recovery must also not be older than 180 days.
