On April 26, 2023, on Ryanair UK flight RK1249, two "unruly PAX" clashed so hard that fists flew. After the landing of the Boeing 737-800 registered as G-RUKA, the Spanish police arrested the two troublemakers.

The medium-haul jet was on its way from Manchester to Tenerife South. According to local media reports, the brawlers are said to have consumed large quantities of alcohol, although it is unclear whether this came from on-board sales or was "smuggled" contrary to the carrier's transport regulations. Among other things, Ryanair prohibits the consumption of self-brought alcoholic beverages.

Since the two "unruly PAX" didn't just leave it at words, but at some point their fists flew, the captain called for the Spanish police. The approach procedure to Tenerife South was shortened as much as possible so as not to allow more time to elapse before landing. The executive then entered the Boeing 737-800 operated by Ryanair UK and arrested the troublemakers.

Similar events have been piling up in recent weeks, with the United States of America, Europe and India likely to be the obvious "foci". It is completely unclear why there are currently more and more "unruly-PAX" incidents. Depending on the country, severe fines or even imprisonment can be imposed.
