Since Monday, EU citizens have been able to enter the United States of America again without any particular reason. Proof of complete vaccination against Covid-19 and a negative PCR test, which must not be older than 72 hours, are required.

There are exceptions for people under the age of 18, government employees and diplomats, among others. For these, a negative PCR result is sufficient, which, however, must not be older than 24 hours. Austrian Airlines explains in a media broadcast that flight OS089 will be fully booked on November 8, 2021. This leads from Vienna to Newark.

With the lifting of the travel restrictions, bookings for US flights with Austrian Airlines have increased fivefold on some routes. The domestic airline currently serves four airports in the USA (two times New York, Washington DC and Chicago) with currently 16 weekly connections.
