Until March 2020, Vienna Airport was known as an extremely busy place that never feels asleep. The current lockdown ordered by the Austrian federal government as well as the entry and quarantine regulations are clearly noticeable on the apron of Austria's largest airport.

Not much is going on, but the more planes are parked in Schwechat and are waiting for better times. A video made available to Aviation Direct by airport workers shows a tour of the apron at Vienna-Schwechat Airport and clearly illustrates the tense situation the industry is in. The video was recorded on Sunday.

Tip: If you don't have time for the entire tour - everything is summarized in fast motion in the first 30 seconds.
