The airline Lauda Europe is currently looking for an HR employee who will apparently take over the monitoring of sick leave and the sending of the controversial "Sickletters". According to the tender, this is not being sought for the headquarters in Pietà, but for Vienna. Excellent knowledge of German is also required.

The predecessor, Laudamotion GmbH, got hit repeatedly in Austria because of "threatening letters" that flight attendants in particular received after sick leave. Even with a few sick days per year, they were accused of being sick too often and thus damaging the company. In some cases, dismissals were threatened and even pronounced. Occasionally, the affected employees were summoned for an appraisal interview immediately after their medical depreciation.

The successor Lauda Europe, which has Maltese approvals, does not seem to want to change anything in practice. A human resources employee is being sought explicitly for the Vienna location and the relevant job advertisement published on the Ryanair website clearly states that part of the area of responsibility is the “monitoring of the absence and fluctuation of employees in order to identify and monitor trends act "is. In other words: a sick letter writer is being sought.

It is also noteworthy that an HR employee is also being sought for the headquarters in Pietà. In addition to the English language, this should also be able to speak German or Spanish. In the Maltese tender, however, there is no mention of the monitoring of absences. From this it can be deduced that the controversial Sickletters should be written in Vienna.
