With effect from April 28, 2022, the shipping company Aida Cruises will cancel the obligation to present a negative PCR result upon embarkation. However, it is still required that at least one negative rapid antigen test result be presented.

The company announced, among other things, that the change had been made on the basis of scientific knowledge. All passengers over the age of three must be able to present the antigen test result. From the age of 12 you must also be fully vaccinated against Corona.

Only recently it became known that Aida Cruises no longer insists on the so-called booster vaccinations, but that two stitches are again sufficient for embarkation. In February 2022, due to the fact that the cruise industry was in the crossfire of criticism, it was introduced that only people who had been vaccinated three times against Covid-19 were allowed on board.

Aida has not significantly relaxed the mask requirement. Wearing medical masks will continue to be required in almost all indoor public areas on ships. Logically, the private cabins are an exception to this.
