The Rostock shipping company Aida canceled the further trips of the cruise ship Aidaluna at short notice due to the corona pandemic. The ship will not leave with passengers on board in January 2021.

The company officially states that it has decided that the focus in the Caribbean will be on the Aidadiva and the Aidaperla. It is even emphasized that the cancellations of the trips planned with the Luna would not have been due to corona cases. They offer that it can be rebooked on the other two ships and want to offer an on-board credit as an incentive.

The shipping company Aida recently hit the headlines because the Exit of the Aidanova ended in the port of Lisbon. A corona cluster developed among the crew members. The cruise was then broken off after a three-day layover and charter flights were organized for the passengers who came mainly from Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
