St. Petersburg, for example, has been a popular destination for Baltic Sea cruises in the past. Kaliningrad was also occasionally headed for. This is now over, because various shipping companies have deleted Russian destinations from their timetables.

For example, Aida Cruises rescheduled all trips that included destinations in ports of the Russian Federation. The ships Diva, Mar, Nova and Vita will no longer head for Saint Petersburg but for Riga in Latvia. Copenhagen, Oslo and Gotland are also included as alternative destinations.

In some cases, trips are postponed. For example, the Aida Vita will only start her first Baltic Sea cruise on July 24, 2022. The shipping company announced that they want to inform affected passengers and would like to offer them an on-board credit as compensation.
