The shipping company Royal Caribbean International is currently benefiting from high demand in the cruise sector. The capacity utilization of the ships is said to have risen sharply in recent weeks. You can sometimes get back to 100 percent.

Mathematically, this means that each cabin is occupied by two passengers. The group assumes that the load factor will exceed full capacity in the coming weeks. This is due to the fact that there will be more than two people per double cabin on board. In the first place, the additional occupancy concerns the children of the passengers.

Company boss Michael Bayley explains to Cruise Industry News that there is currently a particularly high demand on cruises to the Caribbean. These are mainly available in the North American market. The manager did not give any specific information about Europe.
