The long-distance bus and train provider Flix was able to transport around 36 million passengers in the first half of the current financial year. This meant around 50 percent more than in the previous period.

With 24 million passengers, the lion's share came from European business. According to company information, there were around five million travelers in the United States of America, where it operates under the Greyhound brand, among others.

The group's sales increased by 54 percent to 860 million euros. The most recent profit was 26 million euros. According to company boss André Schwämmlein, the offering and frequencies have been increased in almost all markets. However, there was a reduction in Germany, which was justified, among other things, by the fact that one was not included in the 49 euro ticket.

Flix SE expects to increase sales by around 25 percent in the current financial year. The Ebitda margin should be around five percent. This value was around three percent in the first half of the year. Although the company was able to stay in the black last year, the financial figures were still negatively affected by the after-effects of the corona pandemic, in which operations had to be repeatedly stopped in some markets.
