The Greek Ministry of Tourism currently expects US carriers to offer at least 2022 round trips to/from Greece in the 14 summer flight schedule. The first connections to Athens are scheduled to start on March 7, 2022.

Tourism Minister Vassilis Kikilias expects Greece to be a popular holiday destination in the North American market this year. There are currently commitments for 14 weekly non-stop rotations to Athens. These are to be carried out from eight major US airports.

Greece is currently assuming that North American airlines will launch additional routes. However, Tourism Minister Vassilis Kikilias did not give any further details.
