Reserving a specific seat is important to many travelers. Sometimes to be guaranteed to sit by the window or so that the family can sit together in any case. With charter flights there is often no possibility of advance reservation, although it is quite lucrative. FTI is now changing that.

Of course, FTI is not the first tour operator to offer the desired seat in the charter aircraft for a fee. However, this tour operator wants to make the sale of this additional service more attractive through commissions that are to be distributed to travel agencies and agents. Customers have to be prepared for the fact that they may soon be advised to reserve certain seats for a fee when booking.

According to FTI, pricing is flexible. In the best case scenario, reserving a seat costs ten euros per person and route. At least 30 euros must then be put on the table in the exit row. This extra can be purchased retrospectively up to 72 hours before departure.

FTI is initially only offering seat reservations for a fee on charter flights operated by Smartlynx, FlyEgypt or European Air Charter. If the package tour is operated by another airline, a paid reservation is available directly through the airline. Otherwise it means: come to the counter early.
