The Tui brand should no longer be present on the Russian market in the future. The group parted with its local offshoot last year, which was used until recently as part of a franchise agreement. The company headquarters in Hanover has now dissolved this.

In concrete terms, this means that Tui Russia is no longer allowed to use the well-known brand of the tour operator. This also affects the affiliated subsidiaries in Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, because these belong to Tui Russia.

In the previous year, Tui AG decided to sell this offshoot entirely. This means that it no longer belongs to the Tui Group, but was able to continue to appear under the well-known brand due to a franchise agreement. This is now over, as CEO Fritz Joussen explains: “Tui condemns the attack and the war by Russia against Ukraine. Our position is clear. The Tui brand may no longer be used by Tui Russia for their business and the company's appearance".
