The Maltese airline Lauda Europe is replacing the base supervisor who caused a stir in Vienna last year with harsh sales instructions to the cabin crew. The company is currently looking for a successor, according to a job advertisement published by Lauda Europe.

In the previous year, internal e-mails from the base supervisor responsible for Vienna at the Ryanair subsidiary became public and caused quite a stir. For example, in April 2021 it was instructed that more alcoholic beverages to be sold to passengers. In July 2021 it was leaked that the monitoring pressure on the flight attendants will be increased to the extent that they have to justify themselves to their base supervisor if between two sales are more than 15 minutes. The tone of the internal e-mail was very reminiscent of a cross between a gang of shirkers and an old secret police force. The Vida union criticized this sharply. The manager also caused a stir in the first year of Corona, because one Demonstration in front of the headquarters of the Vida union was organized by him, among others.

Lauda Europe did not want to comment on the re-advertisement of the position of base supervisor for Vienna. It was only explained that this job is limited to one year. According to Aviation.Direct information, the outgoing incumbent should retire at his own request and fly again as a senior flight attendant in the future.
