The airlines Wizz Air, Austrian Airlines and Ryanair want to maintain their Ukraine flights until further notice. In some cases, this is only offered to a reduced extent, because AUA temporarily no longer flies to Kiev-Borispil and Odessa. Ryanair has already canceled Kherson and Kharkiv.
A spokeswoman for Wizz Air said in response to a request: "Wizz Air continues to closely monitor the situation in Ukraine. At this time, we have not made any changes to our flight schedule and all our flights to and from Ukraine continue to operate as usual. All passengers with booked flights to and from Ukraine are advised to regularly check their email accounts for further information on the booked flights."
The competitor Austrian Airlines is currently serving in Ukraine only the destination Lviv. It should also remain temporary, according to a spokeswoman: “Due to the current situation, flights to Kiev-Borispil and Odessa are currently suspended. There are no other known restrictions on our flights."
Ryanair is currently planning – apart from Kherson and Kharkiv – continue to target Ukraine. A media officer said: "We are still flying, but we are keeping an eye on further developments around the clock and will react at short notice if necessary". Furthermore, it was said that Ukraine had not issued a notam and that EASA had still not issued any recommendations to airlines and pilots.
