The Republic of Ireland announced that the corona measures will be largely lifted as of October 22, 2021. This primarily affects social distancing and the restrictions on gatherings.
From this point on it is no longer necessary, for example, to present certificates of vaccination or convalescence when visiting the night restaurant or at events. The mask requirement will then largely fall, with shopping and local public transport being excluded until November 9, 2021. Here - at least for the time being - the MNS obligation should continue to apply.
The announced easing only affects the domestic market. The entry requirements remain largely unchanged. Proof of vaccination, convalescence or a negative PCR test must still be submitted from EU countries. More information on Irish immigration rules with this link.
